This was my Bug Jam Weekend surprise. I was the first person to take it out on the open road in 30+ years. I've had a longstanding relationship with this car. I love it.

It's usually done to resemble a paint fade, then covered with clearcoat. What's funny is when they paint the primer layer that should be under the color coat on top of the color. It all looks very...

And I think that's the thing - with rat look, you KNOW it's "fake", no matter how well it's been created although to be fair some of these cars are just as well built as their immaculate show winning...
